SUNDAY GATHERINGS

We gather together corporately every Sunday morning at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, and 12:00 pm in Pickerington and 11:30 am in Canal Winchester. Our gatherings are casual and you should feel free to come as you are, whether you prefer jeans and t-shirt or a tie and jacket.

The purpose of our gathering together is that that God would be glorified and the body would be edified through the preaching of the Word. Our Sunday Gatherings follow a liturgical order, in which we seek to worship God through confession, adoration, hearing the Word of God preached, and committing ourselves to the mission of God. It is our hope that the structure of our Sunday Gatherings would lead you to experience the gospel mercies of Christ and worship of God abundantly.

PARKING AT PICKERINGTON

Maranatha Pickerington is located at 170 East Columbus Street in downtown Pickerington. Parking for guests, families with small children, and those needing special assistance is available behind the church building. Additional parking is available in the two lots across the street. Street parking is also available on the side of the street near the building.

On Sunday mornings, parking attendants are stationed near the back lot as well as the lots across the street. These individuals are here to assist you in finding parking and crossing Columbus Street safely.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

There is a wheelchair ramp located on the east side of the building that can be accessed from the rear parking lot.

KIDS MINISTRY

KIDS MINISTRY

The mission of Maranatha’s Kids Ministry is to assist families in imparting gospel truths that speak directly to the hearts of children. We desire to provide children and families with a God-centered, Christ-exalting, Scripture-saturated view of themselves and the world around them.

We are currently offering three classes at all of our gatherings and at both locations.

  • Toddler (Ages 1-3)

  • Pre-School Age (Ages 4-7)

  • School Age (Ages 8-12)

When you arrive at Maranatha, look for the kids check-in booth in the Welcome Room. Here you will sign your child/children into the appropriate classroom. At the kids check-in booth you will have the opportunity to meet our volunteers and receive more details about our Kids Ministry.

We value family integrated worship at Maranatha, for this reason, our children remain in our main gathering space with their families until after the first set of songs. Kids are dismissed to their classrooms during the passing of the peace. Kids Ministry Volunteers will form lines for all three classrooms in the Welcome Room during this time and walk the children to their appropriate classroom.

During class time, we utilize “The Gospel Project” curriculum. Kids will study the Bible chronologically and see the gospel of Jesus Christ revealed throughout all of scripture with weekly Bible lessons, activities, and crafts. When the gathering has concluded, parents should report to the Kids booth and sign their child out. Kids are not permitted to leave the classroom until a parent/authorized guardian has signed them out.

All Kids Ministry Volunteers must be members of Maranatha Community Church. Additionally, every Kids Ministry Volunteer has a background check on file with the church. For more information about our Kids Ministry please contact kyle.bafia@maranathaohio.com

STUDENT MINISTRY

STUDENT MINISTRY

Our Student Ministry seeks to pursue a culture of holistic discipleship in the gospel. We focus on expounding Scripture to compliment the Word of God that was preached that Sunday, and commit to being a community that both knows and pursues one another.

The Student Ministry meets at Maranatha Pickerington every second and fourth Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

All Student Ministry Volunteers must be members of Maranatha Community Church. Additionally, every Student Ministry volunteer has a background check on file with the church. For more information please contact our Family Ministry Director at kyle.bafia@maranathaohio.com

MEMBERSHIP & FOUNDATIONS CLASS

Church membership is a declaration of an individual’s citizenship in the kingdom of God. It is a formal covenant between the local church and the Christian, in which the church affirms an individual’s proclamation of faith and commits to shepherd them toward maturity in Christ, and the individual submits themselves under the care and leadership of the church.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Maranatha Community Church, or are just looking to learn more about what we believe and how we operate as a church, we would invite you to attend our Foundations Class. This class is held quarterly and walks through our beliefs, core values, church membership, church governance, and how to get involved in our church community.
